Viva el Vino
Save the date! The 2019 US Bank Viva el Vino will be April 27th, from 6-9 p.m. in the beautiful Colorado Mesa University Ballroom.
Viva el Vino is a fun wine-tasting event that features great international, national, and local wines, as well as scrumptious food and dessert. Our VIP section also includes a premium whiskey-tasting. This fantastic evening also includes an elaborate silent auction that has something for everyone.
As Junior Service League’s main fundraising event, net proceeds from the event benefit local not-for-profit organizations through our Community Giving Grants program. In 2018, with the help of our generous 2018 Viva el Vino sponsors, the Junior Service League will donate $55,000 in grants to several organizations in Mesa County! Funds typically benefit non-profits that focus on women and children services, hunger and the outdoors.
This cocktail-attire event is a great opportunity to get your friends together for a night out!
See you on April 27th, and don’t forget your ID.
Now is a great opportunity to secure your sponsorship or donate to our silent auction for our 2019 Event. If you have questions or are interested in donating, please contact [email protected]

EMPTY BOWLS by Grand Valley Catholic Outreach
Date: October 12, 2019
Time: 11:00am – 1:30pm
Celebrating its 23rd year, Empty Bowls has increasingly gained generous community support to feed the hungry. All proceeds go to Grand Valley Catholic Outreach’s Soup Kitchen. Last year, 66,978 meals were prepared and served to individuals in need, and the number continues to increase each year. On any given day, about 250 to 300 individuals, families, and children will come for the noon-day meal. Tickets are $25.00 and are available at the door, at The Daily Sentinel, or online at https://970tix.com/events/23rd-annual-empty-bowls-luncheon. Each ticket buys soup, bread, beverage, dessert, and a handmade pottery bowl of the attendee’s choice. Soup is free for children under 12 when accompanied by a parent with ticket. Empty Bowls is sponsored by Friends of Outreach, a group of individuals of all faiths who come together each year to create this event.
